WDBearManager [DBC Editor]
WDBearManager, which can be used to read the contents of WDB files
and store them inside a relational database.
You can create CSV, patch SCP and do other things with it.

It supports all known WDB format till 2.0.7. (Standard and TBC).

The program is opensource (GPL) and works under Linux and WinXP (tested, other OS may work, too),
You can use MySQL 4/5 or Hypersonic SQL (included) to store your data.

You need:
- JDK 1.5
- Linux or Windows OS (others may work, too)
- Hypersonic (included) or MySQL4/5 database

If you think the program is missing something, you can enhance it using Jython (Python for Java) or
write a Java Plugin.

I just released a plugin, that can be used to patch the Mangos database.

The plugin scans the Mangos database and writes out a SQL file that contains the patches. You can choose to replace only texts or even all values, that are stored inside your WDBearDatabase ("make it bli$$like").
If you want to write your own patches, just edit patchDB.sq. So you can patch items, creatures, whatever.
You are not restricted to text values, you can also use it to patch numeric values and to patch
your Mangos database with original WDB values.
The plugin can also "compare" your WDBearDB with the Mangos database. If it finds entries inside your WDBearDatabase, that are not inside the Mangos DB, it will write a file containing all new items, quests, etc.
You want to enhance Mangos with new bli$$like items - just click.

I also did the same for SCP files:

What to do:
- D/L latest WDBearManager (2.0.0 is the latest version)
You can get it from:
Both sites contain identical version.
- D/L Mangos plugin from
- Unzip the plugin (Make sure you have a folder named plugins/mango)
berlios or sourceforge
- D/L scpImporter plugin from:
- Unzip the plugin (Make sure you have a folder named plugins/scpimporter)

Start the Manager, enjoy

gl, hf

Just wait one or more days and you will see releases of "bli$$like TBC" items ^^
To see what I mean:
A sample of TBC Beta files:
(Thanks to Kronos11).
Install the application and the plugins, import the WDB and then do a compare against your SCP or Mangos installation.

WDBearManager [DBC Editor]
Hmm. thx. but I can't make it work. It states that the main class is missing and that the program will exit.
Could you perhaps post a combilation that works ?
